Chicken N Biscuit crackers are more appetizing than that. Poor Nana for sure- good catch!

  2. SignificantDrawer374

Is that just a dry ass unseasoned half of a chicken or something?

  3. This_Price_1783

Does she live in Chernobyl? That shit looks radioactive.

  4. Odd_Pea_2008

Maybe…..send that photo to the company head hr? And say HEY WTF ARE YOU FEEDING MY NANA, MFERS?!? I mean…. You do have the power to yell at people and make changes happen. It’s just no one does. No one cares enough to. But you could. I wish I could…. ACTUALLY, you wanna tell me who I should call, I’ll just download this pic and be like WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING THE NANAS, MFERS?!? I’ll do it 🥴😮‍💨😂😂😭😭😭😭😭

It’s like AI has prepared “food” for “humans”

  8. Hadrians_Twink

Remind me to off myself before getting sent to a nursing home please, ill probably be forgetful by then.

  9. darkredpintobeans

OP I think they might be trying to kill your nana

  10. Minute_Test3608

That would be marginally OK if you had teeth

  11. kaosmoker

That’s terrible. What’s worse is they didn’t even bother to round out the meal with a veg?

They could have easily and cheaply made red beans and rice with chicken, beef or sausage some gentle spices and fed everyone well.

  12. kaosmoker

Now I’m looking forward to all the horrible parents who treated their kids like crap to be dumped into a nursing home.

  13. That chicken looks like a dry specimen at an Oddities shop

I see in the comments you’ve said she’s there for rehab so she’s probably considered as a “skilled stay” (not Long Term Care, Respite, Assisted or Independent Living). Is she on a special diet? I know of some places that go off the deep end for people on sodium restrictions and eliminate ALL seasoning to cut that sodium down, (Despite the fact that regular old spices and herbs add negligible sodium, only spice blends typically)

Depending on where you are in the world, there are multiple offices you can lodge complaints with. If you’re in the U.S., there’s Medicare and the state Board of Health, and the Council on Aging. Most states judge senior care facilities on taste and presentation of food. One of the things I can get tagged for in Ohio is “Food must be served at the correct temperature and be appealing in taste and appearance.”

Yo they left the bones in the chicken?? This should concern you!!! In the industry especially in the assisted living sector it is absolutely frowned upon to serve protein with bones! That’s unacceptable!

I cooked and brought food to my husband while care. He would still be there and not doing well. That food is only good for the garbage disposal

    😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

Whole, dry potatoes and bone-in chicken are giant choking hazards. Wild that this is considered acceptable in an assisted living facility.

I fucking hate that. I just started at an assisted living place as one of the cooks and I had been wondering if what I have been pushing out was good or not (we are our own worst critics) and seeing this makes me feel a lot better. But I also want to beat the ass of whoever made this.

This looks potentially unsafe to eat based off of the color and texture alone.
I really hope you follow through with your plan to complain about it to someone with the authority to do something, they’ll keep getting away with it if they can otherwise.

For a quick second, I thought that this was a plate of decomposing breast implant.

It was fortunate when my Mom was in Assisted Living.
Had a decent restaurant..menu options.. approach at the facility . She could have microwave meals or whatever she had in her fridge too. She is in nursing facility now. Food is atrocious at times.
So.. have another caregiver gather better meals for her when necessary. So grateful for that.
Definitely… get groceries for her. Poor Nana.

Damn society let’s do better please

  25. MegaArseHole

What the hell is this, a medieval times experience?

  26. jim_james_comey

Damn, this makes me kinda sad.

The ingredients (chicken and potato) are actually delicious and very nutritious, but the cooking and lack of spices are pathetic. I’d imagine you don’t want bones or very dry pieces of meat in a senior living facility as they’re a choking hazard. My grandmother died in a restaurant choking on a steak.

  27. kingsizekaln

I thought I was in the bone collecting sub and someone found organs or something

  28. Tigerlily86_

These places do not care about the sick or elderly. It’s depressing bc we’re all gonna get old and sick

  29. ibeatobesity

I think Nana would be better off living with a family member. Even one that hates her would give her better food than this.
